Tim

Tim grew up in Bristol amid the emergence of the surrounding sound system culture that mixed electronics with all manner of musical styles. He was djing & producing music at seventeen, this love of mixing music & sound with its limitless possibilities has had a huge influence on his working method.

Tim Studied at Edinburgh College of Art & graduated with a first in visual communication, His dissertation explored the visualisation of sound covering artists such as Paul Klee, Laslo Moholy-Nagy, Georgy Kepes, John Cage, Tomato & Brian Eno. Whilst running the arts club ‘AsitComes’ at ECA he worked on projects with Ben Schogler at Edinburgh Universities Music Psychology dept. & their band at that time ‘The Dyad’

His first job on leaving college was to design the sleeve for Coldplay’s debut release on Parlophone recordings. He went on to work for Digit, a renowned interactive media studio based in London.

Having won the Royal Society of Arts design award in his final academic Year he was able to combine his travel award with a timely chance meeting with Brian Eno, who was kind enough to give him many leads to follow whilst traveling in Japan. In Tokyo & Kyoto he studied calligraphy and interviewed many masters of Japanese Art & Design including Koichi Sato, Shinro Ohtake & Tabaimo.
